Ragini Bhow (b.1991) is an Indian American artist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She works in sculpture, installation, and painting; exploring energetic relationships influenced by ecology and the idea of an ‘ancient future’ suggesting that the past is not closed, it is open, and that the art/artist may function as a conduit. She received her MFA from the University of New Mexico in 2020 and has recently completed a series of lithographs at Tamarind Institute. She has had solo presentations of her work in 1415 Gallery (Albuquerque), VITRINE (Albuquerque), 1.ShanthiRoad (Bangalore), and G.159 (Bangalore). Her work has participated in group exhibitions at Kleine-Humboldt Galerie (Berlin), Galerie Mirchandani & Steinruecke (Bombay), UNM Art Museum (Albuquerque), Gallery SKE (Bangalore), Kunstpavillon im Alten Botanischen (Munich), and KHOJ (New Delhi), among others. She has recently taught an Introduction to Art & Ecology class at The University of New Mexico. Her work has been showcased in Artforum June/July 2020.
